This will be a continual diary of three urban artist coming from small towns, working together for the common goal of reaching star status in the entertainment industry. Lovechilde, Jemiah and Kormelo have a new sound that demands attention from the industry for which they have vowed to take over, by touring and self promoting from this point (July 14, 2004) through Christmas 2005 with a 9 piece band. Continue to check back and see what is happening on their hectic road to stardom.

Momentum For The Movement

Well it's been a minute since my last post and quite frankly a lot has been going on. Since bringing on our new radio and retail promotion team things have started picking up. We have been added to the playlist for stations WZKS-FM, KZRB-FM, KTOY-FM, WCQS, WRES and asked to send product to a few more clubs. The program director for WZKS-FM (A Clear Channel station) says we "have a hit record and that right now we are getting about 5 spins a day." Saturday August 7th we had an interview on WCQS in Asheville with Jamal Jabali on his program Round Midnight. Jabali, who had the opportunity to catch our Bele Chere performance in July said "I was more that pleasantly surprised to not only catch a great performance, but after listening to the CD and finding so many singles therein shows a professionalism unheard of these days."

We may be in negotiation for more distribution with A.R.E. Distribution once the man himself (Al Bell) has evaluated the project and puts his stamp of approval on it. It definitely looks promising considering we are getting commercial spins and adds.

We have also been speaking with a few booking agents and things look very promising with a few. Of coarse the more exposure we get the easier it will be to get gigs but we want to make sure that we have a good relationship with anyone representing us. Speaking of gigs, we will be opening for Midnight Star at the Umoja Festival in Johnson City, TN. August 14th at 7:30 (Freedom Hall Civic Center). Anyone in the Johnson City region should come out and catch the performance you won't be disappointed.

P.S. Call WXIS Jammin 92.3 / 103.9 423-743-6123 or go to http://www.werjammin.com/ and ask to hear our new single "Good Times" from the CD THE MOVEMENT.

THANKS
